Ms. K. T. Margaret is a dedicated educator with a deep interest in helping children grasp and apply concepts in everyday life. Her goal is to provide children with a solid foundation that encourages discovery and continuous learning. With over 52 years of experience, she has taught across various levels—nursery, primary, high school, as well as with children from slums and villages. Additionally, she has trained teachers and documented her insights in her book, The Open Classroom. Currently, she works with two young children attending an English medium school and mentors a group of committed teachers who educate children in the slums of Bangalore and villages near Raichur, Bijapur, and Mysore. A passionate advocate for creating learning environments that remove social and emotional barriers, Ms. Margaret now serves as the Education Consultant for our trust.

As the guiding force behind Team Inspiration, Jai leads the design team, business development, and innovation initiatives. With a background in architecture, he took a unique path by moving beyond conventional education, grounding his design philosophy in the real-world challenges of the Indian subcontinent. This approach has offered transformative insights, shaping Team Inspiration’s strategies. Jai is also the managing trustee of Jomythry, a charitable trust based in Kerala, and his dedication has inspired Margaret and Prakash in their work with disadvantaged children. As a committed trustee, Jai now serves as an Education Consultant for our trust, actively supporting our mission to empower community youth.

An alumna of the Tilak Nagar Children Centre, founded by Margaret K.T. in 1984, she now dedicates her time as a volunteer in social work, focusing on empowering women. She offers free consultancy to women in the Ragigudda slum in Bengaluru and serves as a trustee of Vidya Mytri Trust, where she also provides counseling services for various trust programs.

In 2002 he joined Margaret’s assistant teacher trainer group and worked as a teacher in supplementary schools in Deodurga taluk Raichur District In 2004 worked as a assistant trainer with Margaret KT in ICDS training programme for 60 villages in Koppala district for 6 years, Giving training, follow up meetings, regular visits and helping in class practice through demonstration classes. Prakash was motivated to be a teacher and dreamt to start a NGO and apply Margaret’s methodology and values of education. Thus the teacher–student team started the Vidya Mytri Trust.
